First up for the weekend was drinks with Pat's Dad & Step-Mom. His Dad's birthday is on Tuesday and since weekdays are usually busy for us we wanted to make sure that we got to spend some time with him. Plus we hadn't seen them since the holidays. We had a really nice time and Bar Louie was nice enough to bring him a very large piece of birthday cake to celebrate with.
(Pat's Dad & his piece of cake. The iphone camera didn't do well with the lighting.)
Saturday was spent cleaning and prepping for Easter. Some major Spring cleaning was done. It was so nice to have the windows open to air out the house and to have the place looking great. In the evening we headed to downtown Plymouth for a birthday party for my BFF's brother. We had fun seeing some old friends but unfortunately didn't get to stay too long since we had a busy Sunday ahead of us.
On Sunday we were up early and out the door to run. Pat met his Boston running group for their last long run of 12 miles. I met my friend Chuck out at Kensington for a loop. It was windy & hilly but we still managed a 9:30 average pace.
Then it was home to start cooking. Easter dinner was deviled eggs, cheese, spinach/kale dip & cracker. Followed by Roasted chicken, warm potato salad, & asparagus. Dessert was Pineapple fluff cake (Angel Food Cake with a pineapple cool whip filling). It all tasted great & turned out wondeful.(Table all set for Easter dinner)
(Some of our dinner guests, I love how Brady is snuggling with his cousin Claire)
