Silver Lake
In mid-July FB & I joined his family for four days to camp out at Yogi's Jellystone Park in Silver Lake, MI.

Daycation
Just playing catch-up today. At the end of June, FB & I took a daycation up to Caseville, MI. We had a blast! Here's the pictures....
We started out grabbing a beer at one of the local bars:

Then we off to a family fun center and rode down this scary slide:

They had this fun, fun game called bank shot basketball. There were different back boards that you had to use to make a basket.

mmmm....breakfast
A few years ago, my lovely sister introduced me to what is now one of my favorite breakfasts...savory french toast! I don't usually like anything sweet first thing in the morning and this was a great twist on french toast. I started with the end of a baguette that was just starting to get stale, perfect for french toast:
After I sliced up the bread, I took one egg and cracked it into a bowl. I added a little bit of almond milk, some fresh basil, and pepper. It also works well with rosemary but I didn't have any on hand. It's fun to experiment with different herbs and spices.

It's been....
19 days since my last post. In that time I had a crazy week and a half of work where we closed out the fiscal year and we finalized our software conversion. After what seemed like a never ending project, I decided to take a week off and went camping with FB & his family at Silver Lake. I also squeezed in two Gaelic Football games....a big win at home, and loss yesterday in Pittsburgh. We did however, win home field advantage for the play-off game. Pictures to come soon once I'm done playing catch-up from my week off.
